The hot tubs have been deemed as non-essential.

People have been left disappointed as they confirm their hot tubs will not be going on sale.

The Intex Spa Pool was due to go on sale in Aldi stores this week, and was featured advertised on the website and the app of the popular retailer.

Aldi confirm their in-demand hot tubs will NOT be in store this week

However, the Government has not classed the hot tub as being 'essential' and so has been pulled from being made available.

The octagonal hot tub is made from laminated vinyl and measures 150cm x 150cm and has a water capacity of 795 litres with 135 bubble jets.

The garden feature is one of Aldi's most sought after items and with a second summer at home facing most people this summer, it was set to be in even more demand this year.

An Aldi Ireland spokesman told the Irish Mirror, “In line with Government guidance, Aldi has postponed the sale of an outdoor hot tub this Sunday. The item will not be on sale in any of Aldi’s 145 stores during the current COVID-19 restrictions.”

They continued: “Customers were understandably looking forward to the offer. The outdoor hot tub was not advertised in our weekly leaflet and was added to the website and app in error."

"The product has since been removed from these channels. Thank you to customers for their continued support for Aldi and all our store teams during these challenging times.” they added.
