A luxury spa resort, located around a 35-minute drive from Derby, has been recognised with a top regional award.
Hoar Cross Hall, near Burton, has been named the best spa in the West Midlands and Wales in the Good Spa Guide awards 2021.
The 150-year-old luxury escape came out on top in a public vote, with spa-goers selecting their favourite based on facilities, treatments and general atmosphere, Staffordshire Live reports.

The Barons Eden-owned hotel and spa is one of Europe’s largest and most luxurious spas, with 97 bedrooms, three restaurants and an award-winning full-service spa - all of which received significant makeovers in a £14 million revamp, which was completed earlier this year.
The spa itself includes array of luxury facilities and treatments, including a Nordic heat and ice suite, hydrotherapy pool, saltwater pool, aqua massage area, detox centre, atrium, snooze room, sanctum and relaxation zone.

The luxury hotel and spa had also received a nomination for 'Large Spa of the Year' in the Professional Beauty Awards 2021.
