Mother's Day is just around the corner and we're all looking for the best gifts for some of the most special women in our lives.

Last year, Mother's Day fell on Sunday, March 14.

But Mothering Sunday always falls on the fourth Sunday of Lent in the UK so this year, Mother's Day falls on March 27, meaning it's just around the corner.

While mums should feel special every day, Mother's Day is the perfect opportunity to show our mums how much we appreciate them.

Last year, we didn't have as much chance to show them as many of us were separated due to the pandemic and weren't able to be with each other on Mother's Day.

But this year is a great chance to make up for it and spa days are an excellent way to relax.

We've rounded up a list of eight breaks that you can treat your mum to and provided the links so you can book.

The Spa Hotel, Saltburn By The Sea

The Spa Hotel averages a four-star rating on TripAdvisor and offers probably one of the most picturesque breaks you could have. Situated with views of Hunt Cliff and the North Sea, there's also the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire.

The Amber Rooms are the hotel's beauty and wellbeing suites. They are renowned for their hot stone massages followed by cocktails and a sharing platter.

The food appears to be the standout feature with raving reviews as people say they'd "eat here every week if they could".

The Principal, York

With Victorian architecture and views of York Minster, it's no surprise that The Principal is also considered a premier luxury wedding venue.

It boasts a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.

Complimented for its stunning views and friendly staff, reviews rave about how relaxing they've found their stay.

Rudding Park Hotel, Harrogate

One of Rudding's best features is its rooftop spa experience. There's also hydrotherapy, thermal experiences and the Escape Zone, a peaceful space for guests having a treatment.

There's even a chance to have drinks on the sun terrace overlooking York Racecourse.

Reviews mention: "spacious, airy and clean" with praise for the sauna and steam room.

Turkish Baths, Harrogate

Built in the 19th century, this ornate Moorish-style bath house claims to have been 'perfecting the art of relaxation since 1897'.

They offer plenty of special packages, such as the sacred nature escape package.

There's an anti-ageing facial, massage and more that the Turkish Baths say will 'have you walking on air'.

There's plenty of different packages costing all the way up to £170.

Titanic Spa, Huddersfield

Located in a huge 19th-century cotton mill, this spa is working towards a carbon-neutral status and is said to be the first UK eco spa.

It uses its own spring water for the pool and for its pampering treatments and here you have the opportunity to book fully equipped self-catering apartments.

It also has a champagne bar and you don't have to stay over - a day at the spa is on offer from £85.

Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa

This hotel has the UK's largest log cabin, built from imported Swedish logs. Located near Otley, the Executive cabin has its own outdoor hot tub and lots of rooms have their own lake views.

There are pools, a steam room and there is an indoor and outdoor jacuzzi. For an extra bit of relaxation, there's a large wigwam tent.
